I heard that RecordNow is better for DVD than Nero, but...

RecordNow Max is giving me a message that my DVD+RW is not empty.

Although, I erased it with Nero and with RecordNM several times.
RNW won't record on it while Nero doesn't make a problem of it and burns away.

I haven't tried a RNM with a DVD-R yet, but is RNW not able to burn on DVDRW's??

First, of course RecordNow Max burns to RW. What version are you using? Also, I've seen this problem occur WITH BOTH Nero and RNM. I'm not sure why this happens, but it seems to happen every so often. I haven't used Nero for a while, but it happened twice when I did. Here's all I did to fix the problem. Do a "FULL" erase of the disk within NERO OR RECORDNOW MAX. It will take about 16-20 minutes. Once that is done, SHUT DOWN, NOT RESTART, but SHUT DOWN your computer. Wait about a minute, boot back up, open up RecordNow Max, and insert your blank RW disk. It should recognize it, and you should be able to burn with no problems from there.
