  1. I have been lurking around for a while and finally broke down and placed an order for a Pioneer A05 -105 (Ebay). I have a few related questions and will be greatful any assistance.

    1. I am in Australia but the Pioneer A05 is from US, can I sellect the wrting region (my standalone player is multi region!).

    2. With the drive I am also receving Nero 5.5 MYDVD & Sonic DVD. I already have a Sony DVD-ROM with WINDVD. And I intend to use DVD X Copy & DVD Decrypt.
My question is do I need to install any of the bundled software? I have read a few unflattering reviews about Sonic & Nero and wish to avoid any headaches.

    Thank you kindly.

For your first question, I believe home-made DVDs are burnt region free. So there won't be any issues burning discs from a US drive when you live in Australia.
