    ok, i have a panasonic miniDV cam. now im just interested what the specifications are. i cant find it in the manual.

    height x weidth ?
    fps ?
    pixel-ratio?

    The miniDV (NTSC) spec calls for 720x480 resolution at 29.97 fps for video. Audio is 48Kbps.

    Aspect ratio would normally be 4:3. Some camcorders have a widescreen setting, but I think most of them are just doing a form of letterboxing. I don't believe a consumer model will do anamorphic 16:9, but I could be wrong.
