Well, I have had a TON of exp dealing with trying to join films, using ULEAD and tmpgenc. And this is what I have got:
- First, ULEAD will alow you to continue your play with all 4 mpeg's There will be about a 3 seconds pause, not a biggy, right? Wrong, if I cam going to burn a movie on my DVD, I want it perfect. So, this option was not valid for me. I would not suggest it, although, it might work with your case.
- Second, I tried joining with tmpgenc, NO GO. This site did say it would be buggy. So, I read on, got better software that was recomended (demo, only let me do 29 seconds) and I dont want to buy that program, there has got to be another way.
- Third, I took all 4 films, slit them, sound, and video. I joined all video with tmpgenc, and that worked great. I did two at a time, so I would have 2 files now, and join the next 2. Well, the first two went pefrectly, i slit them, i joined them (sound to sound, vid to vid) and then joined the sound to the vid. Worked great! I was so happy. Then I went and tried to join the next two, and I cant open anything in tmpgenc anymore. I cant even join em, I cant do anything. So, I think when i was slpitting and joining, and joining again, it got messed up with the way the movies are SUPPOSED to be layed out, although it played fine with DVD software, but not WM9. So, I am in the same boat, I need a way to make this work, if anyone has a clue, or maybe knows why my final plan did not pan out, please reply. This is importnat to me. I want this DVD!
Thanks to all who reply
