Ok, i had 4 MPEG files, and i managed to produce VOB files from the MPEG files, now the problem i have is either merging them into one file or authoring them so that all four play one after another. I hvae tried IFOEdit, and whats happens is the IFO file shows up as a 43 minute video, which accounts for only one of the 4 VOB files, and I have no authoring software that works with straight VOB files... can anyone help??

Use DVDMaestro.
You can import all 4 M2v and AC3 streams.
Don't forget the "connections" tab. Here you can adjust in what order they should play.
I don't have DVDMaestro on this comp, so I can't remember the exact terms, but you need to fill out things like:
First Play : movie1
Movie1 End Action : movie2
Movie1 Forward: movie2 (so you can skip forward to movie2)
Movie2 Back: movie1 (so you can skip backward to movie1)
Movie2 End Action: movie3
