I have this divx file that I would like to watch on my tv, but after encoding and stuff, part two is too big for one disk. What should I do? I was thinking that I should join the two parts, and then re-encode so that I can cut in in the right place. Can anyone tell me if there is a quicker way or easier way to do this? I would appreciate any bit of help that I can get.
Peace, budgirl357

Are you saying that the DivX AVI is in 2 parts? If so, you can "join" them in VirtualDub by first loading part 1, then add the second with Append AVI Segment, provided they are of the same resolution, encoding and such. You can then set start and end point to suit your needs, and frame serve to your encoder.

There is a free program called dvtool, this allows you to cut a file into as many equal parts as you require.
