OK had the Pacific DVD750 for a while and it plays VCD ok, I tried what I was told was a SVCD but it didn't work. So I gave up on SVCD, turns out after downloading the PAL sample on this site and making my own SVCD it works![]()
I tried a few samples using an SVCD template but reduced the bitrate, this gave a jerky playback every 4 seconds or so. Do I presume that I made an XSVCD and so the Pacific won't play any bitrates that are not standard ?
Thinking about it the SVCD used CBR but the SVCD with reduced bitrate used VBR, could VBR have anything to do with it ?
VCD's with lower bitrates work but higher bitrates don't.
Thanks for any feedback.
