American Bought Burner, in an Aussie computer?...Please Help

I'm thinking about buying the Sony DRU500AX from the states....and am not sure weather or not it will work in my computer back here in Australia?? Has anyone ever tried this??...or does anyone know if i can or not??

of course it will, unless you have some other kind of PC in Australia.

but, you get no Sony warranty.

Yeah, the saving you may make must take into account HyperYagami's point about the warranty, Sony Oz will not be very helpful.
