+RW works, but +R doesent, whats wrong?

Ok, I have ripped every file off of my original DVD-5 movie using DVD Decrypter and that went fine. Then I burned the VIDEO_TS folder useing the latest version of Nero (burned useing DVD-ROM and tried DVD-VIDEO mode). It burns fine on either +R or +RW media however, ONLY +RW is readable on my Version 2 Mintek-1600. Niether work on my V1 PS2.

I use a Ricoh MP5125A with firmware 1.51
I have only used TDK media so far burned at 2.4x (cause Nero wont let me pick 1x).

I had the same problem too with Nero, but with
RecordMax now V4.5 , both DVD +R/W and +R play's correctly in
my standalone player

I had same problems now I get 100% playback, even in the XBOX using dvd2one and recordnow DX the free bitsetter program to setup to record all DVD's as DVD-Rom, find the program and read more at

use this program to setup my HP DVD200i as to burn all DVD+R and DVD+RW as DVD-Rom, playde in anything I tried, even a PS2 using NERO 5.5.917, XBOX no go until I switched to recordNow DX to burn.
