Burn Programs

I guess this has been asked many times, but how do you rate the different DVD burning software.

I use Nero which has been great on data and audio backup, but a number of packages, e.g. DVDXCOPY and DVD2one suggest it doesn't burn DVDs properly. My Grundig 620HT standalone seems very sensitive to the media I've used for a DVD burn with Nero, but I'm wondering if it's the burn engine instead.

Any thoughts?

the amount of times this as been covered about problems with nero just shows the amount of bugs it has.
plenty people use it and have no problems at all, but i would sooner stay away from it.

i use prassi primo dvd2, not one coaster unless it was my fault.

I agree with thingimijig.
In the beginning i used Nero and it work pretty well. Sometimes it dvd didn't want to play in my standalone player.

Now i'm ussing Primo DVD and Record Now and never had any problems so far.

I've only recently started burning DVDs, so I'm not really qualified on the subject. However, I've used Nero 5.5.10.0 continuously and have never had a problem with the disks that it's produced.

Maybe I'm just lucky: I burn Verbatim-R with a Sony DRU500 and play them in a JVC XV-S300BK (which plays everything). This sort of makes up for the shit experiences I've had with Roxio Easy CD Creator Platinum: 3 full formats as a result of this piece of shit removing burners from windows altogether!
