  1. Well this is my first post so here goes !

trying to copy my vhs tapes to my PC

using a CanopusADVC-100 with s-video from VCR to ADVC, then firewire to firewire card in PC.

Its the same with all the Capuring sw I have ( Ulead, Power director) the fist couple of seconds looks ok then the whole picture just goes hazy.

I have done some looking around here and have seen that some posters have refered to " macrovision "

Is there anyway i can get round this problem ? so i can create a digital file for longevity ?

    Many thanks

I have the same Canopus box but have yet to visit 'macrovision land', from the reviews here at vcdhelp, the trick is to hold the input button down until the test bars appear & then disappear, macro should now be off until you power down.
Movie only DVD9 to DVDR guide.

  3. Dilligaf,

Many thanks, i had seen that somewhere, tell me is there any special way of setting the dips, as i tried what you said and all that happened was both analog and digital lightds came on then the digital one went off leaving the analog on, i held ( the input selector ) down for about a minute.

    Any more suggestions
