Yea, I've seen 99 minute CD-R's and was wondering the same thing. Not only that, but will my Apex player even play them.

Hi,
Well you can find some info on 90Min. Discs here:
http://www.cd-rmedia.co.uk/mirror90compat.htm
Or 99 Min Discs here:
http://www.disc4you.com/news/99min.html
If you're burner isn't mentioned in those list, it doesn't mean it doesn't support them, they're just not tested.
Also, don't pay to much attention to the burning speeds. I have the Yamaha 2100S myself, and it burn 90 min disc at 16 Speed and i can even oversize them to 92+ minutes
My burner does NOT support 99 min discs. Not much burners are able to burn them to the full 99 minutes.
Greetz,
