I have just backed up a dvd by using smart ripper, CCE and Spruce Up.
I have imported the m2v and ac3 into to Spruce Up wihich took about an hour. I then chaptered the file created a menu system ready to be exported.
I then decided to export using the Title type, which creates all the Vob files etc. I left it on for 10 hours yesterday and it had only done 50%. ! Is this right it should take soooooo long ?
If it is right is there another program out there that can do the same process quicker because it has already taken 20 hours to enconde the film?
If anyone is interested here are my system specs.
Athalon 1.4 mhz
Windows 2000
512 MB ram pc100
Hard drive 40 gig 5400rpm.
Geforce 2 gfx card.
pioneer 105 dvd writer
40x aopen cd writer.
Thanks,
Le monkey

le monkey,
the times you are reporting are very long indeed. Something is not right.
The only thing I see in your specs which are suspect is the 5400 speed hard drive.
Should take 20 minutes to import and about the same to complie the files in a new folder on the export.

Worked Out the problem.
What I had to do whas to set the priority of Spruce Up to Real Time through Task Manager.
I have also picked up an 80gig 7200rpm ATA 100 hard drive which should help.
Thanks for your help tumbar,
Le Monkey
