  1. In VideoReDo TVSuite v4, I opened a .ts file, I made a selection, and saved it to .ts, but it takes too long to complete. It got to 36 % very quickly, in just 1 min, but now it progressed from 36 % to 38 % in an hour...

Have you tried run the quickstream fix first? If it's possible for ts files then.

  3. Yes, I tried to run quickstream fix, but when I saw that it takes so many hours to complete, I just gave up. It would probably take 36 hours for quicstream fix to finnish the job.

Isn't there a faster alternative ? I mean, waiting so much time just to save a .ts with ads removed... for me, it doesn't make sense.

Something is surely wrong somewhere. I have the same VR & I can write a .ts from a 2 hour .ts with ads removed in about 8 minutes.

  5. The only solution I found so far was:
    - to cut from 0 min to 10 min, and export
    - then another selection from 10 min to 20 min, and so on
    - the selection from 0-10min was exported very quickly
    - 10-20min selection was going to take hours or even days to export
    - 20-30m was exported very quickly
    - and the rest of the source was exported in a very short amount of time.

    This way I identified that:
    - only the 10-20min part is taking many hours to export, or even days (at first, I waited 3h and the progress bar was stuck at 46% and didn't even move)
    - so I tried to export from 10-15min, and it still needed days to export
    - then I tried exporting from 10-12min and in about 30 seconds it was done
    - and the same happened for 12-14min and 14-20min.

I recently tried to save an edited file in TS mode and it took forever, so I aborted the save. I've found that saving to MKV is much faster. Also, I found that by default VideoReDo was trying to save my file as an MPEG-2 TS file when in fact it was H.264. Check to be sure that you are saving the right kind of TS file. I don't really need TS files for my work so I'm OK with saving to MKV but it is possible that if I had tried to save as H.264 TS that it might not have taken an extremely long period of time.

Go to their forum-one of the best, like this one, and ask Dan. They are very good at replying to your requests.
