  1. Im running on winxp pro sp1/xp 2100+/512mb ddr/dvr-105, when i attempt to rip or burn. When using DVD Decrypter, it only goes up to 2x rather than 4x. I've tried to make a image from nero and to see if i can rip at 4x. And nero does make the 4x image successfuly but as you all know that it wont work. I have updated the firmwire to 1.21 but still no change. I also enable DMA but still no change. Can anyone help?

  3. Very few DVD-ROMS can rip faster than 2x due to drive lock,Lite-On is one that can.As for your DVD writer 1x is normal for DVD Decrypter.

  4. Im not 100% sure, but I believe this drive is locked at 2x read when using that type of ripping program. I use an old DVD-Rom drive that wont even read dvd-r's and it reads original movies in at 6X or so, but the Pioneer 105 will not pass 2x. I have also read about this somewhere.
    Hope that helps!
