When i try to join 2 mpg files and make it one file so i can take it into spruce up and author a dvd i find the sound slips away from the video so by the time the movie ends the sound is off my a couple min
ive tryied going into options and makeing sure source range is checked off and ive tryed all types of video
now it has worked before with no problems BUT on some videos i get the same audio problems is it some thing to do with the type of mpg it is or is it just bad luck
PLEASE HELP ME

Ok you said that you are JOINING 2 Mpeg's right, well when you Split your AVI or DivX did you do it right, I had kind of a similar problem, I didn't split my AVI file from the position I ended the first part from, and when I joined them together, it came out all messed up, even though both parts worked perfect separately. You could try keeping them separate and then burn them...eh ?
Also make sure that the settings for the Mpeg are EXACTLY the same, that's a very common problem.
Try looking in the guides section for Mpeg Audio Syncing Fixes, IM pretty sure they might be helpful.

try and make sure your clips end and start on keyframes when you join them....
it sucks basically cause to my knowledge TMPGenc does not identify keyframes and has no tool for doing so....I very much wish they would include this in next versions.
anyway, I believe the synch issues stem from not ending and starting on keyframes.
