Ok. I want to backup disc 1. I ripped the main movie files with Decryptor. But dvd2one shows 2 PGC's for this movie which I saw through ifoedfit also. Question, would it be best to just split this to 2 discs through ifoedit or is there a way to do it with dvd2one without all that much trouble? I mean if it's easier just to split it through ifoedit and burn, then I'll do that. thanks for any help or advice in advance

try the new program ( make it easy), you can find it on doom.
it runs with dvd2one.
just done a six episode disc myself with it and you can keep eveything.
it turned out perfect (menu, scene selection and extras )

I just finished backing up the first disc of Band of Brothers (Part 1 - Currahee and Part 2 - Day of Days) using DVD Decrypter and IfoEdit to two separate DVD-Rs and they play perfectly in my standalone player. I rip PGC 1 and PGC to separate folders. I also stripped out, in DVD Decrypter, the languages I didn't need. I then used Ifoedit to correct the VTC sectors and created the VIDEO_TS.ifo and VIDEO_TS.BUP files. I didn't keep any of the menus. I'm very pleased with the results and plan to do the same with the remaining discs.

I did Band of Brothers this way because it was easier for me. Whatever works, right? 8) Now, I ripped the movie in File Mode using Decryptor. I then used Ifoedit to create a new set of ifo's. I also stripped everything out except for the English Audio. There were no English Subs, so I went with just the 6 channel Dolby Audio stream. After this got done, I opened the new title set and saw that both PGC's were now joined together as 1 PGC. Total movie playback time was roughly 125 mins so I knew from looking at the original ifo that this was PGC 1 and 2 combined. I then ran this through dvd2one because it still was too big to fit onto 1 dvd-r. Got done with dvd2one, burned the disc, plays great. I would assume you could do multiple episode discs this way also. Have fun

I think that is because after you use ifoedit to strip what you don't want out and create new ifo's, dvd2one doesn't have to do very much compressing to fit the movie onto 1 disc. I believe after ripping everything but the English track out it was 5.5 gig, something like that if I'm telling it right. So many movies so little time anymore hehe. Anyways it worked out great. Yes I am a Crimson Tide Fan big time hehe. Too bad I live in Michigan where it's very cold but I have lots of family who live in Alabama. I go there for vacation sometime every summer, I love it down there. 8) I noticeed it said you were from Huntsville. Neat, been there many times. I have relatives from Decatur, Russellville, Phil Campbell, Haleyville and around Florence and the Shoals area. So basically Northwest Alabama. Roll Tide

I did all band of brothers DVDs (Zone2) and I even made an almost identical menu with the little star to select and the music playing behind. How?
Ripped both Episode of a DVD then reencoded them with CCE and finally authored them with DVDMaestro. It took me one week-end for the 5 DVDs (didn't make the bonus DVD) but it was worth the time, they are almost perfect clones[-Neoh*-]|[-Cheers-] -
Kewl :P My system is too old to run CCE, because I'd really like to try it sometime. Oh well, once I build my Athlon XP 2200+, I'll give it a whirl. Cheers 8)
