I stream video from my PC to WDTV Live wirelessly and wanted to improve performance. I'm currently using a Netgear G router with a Belkin adaptor and the streaming is pretty decent except for HD contents. I'm looking at the D-Link DIR-825 because of its dual band capabilities (2.4GHz and 5 GHz). To do so, I'd have to invest in a dual band adaptor as well. Can anyone tell me if the difference in performance with 5GHz (I stream avi, VOB, ISO, MKV files) is worth the additional investment? Also, if you already have a working dual band set up, I would appreciate any recommendations. Thank you.

I used a Linksys WRT600N router and had major reliability problems with two of them, maybe just my own experience.
I now use a Netgear WNR3500 router and it works fine for streaming HD over my wireless LAN. They both had enough speed. I use a Edimax USB N adapter. The Linksys could use both bands at the same time. Not sure if the Netgear can. Something to check if you also have G devices like most laptops.
