Move the slider until the bad frame appears. Then use the <--> arrows on the bottom RHS of VDub to select the frame you want to delete. You do this by selecting a range of frames. Click on the left arrow to tell it that this is the start of the range you want to delete ie. the bad frame. If the bad section is only 1 frame long, click on the right arrow also, to select the end of the range you want to delete. If there are more than 1, pull the slider until you reach the end of the bad section of frames, then click the right arrow. Then press the DELETE key on your keyboard. The bad frame/s should disappear.

What is the mp3-freeze password for? I have the mp3-freeze version, but I don't remember anything about a password.

How did you get that ? it was I that zipped it up using that password must have been the pornstar.

Anyway, It makes a log file of all the bad frames. i.e.

    25478
    25479
    25480
    25481
    45677
    45678
    45679

As you can see from the example above there is a gap, the first section of bad frames are 25478 to 25481

You need to cut them out before moving to the next section. To do this highlight the first bad frame and click "copy" switch to Vdub and from the menu select "Edit > Go To" then "Paste" that number in.

    Start of bad frame:
Vdub will now jump to that bad frame, it will probably complain. Now click the "key frame" (Yellow key) back once, so this moves you away from the bad frame to the nearest "Key frame" .

    Mark this as the start.

Go back to your list of bad frames and copy the next number of the first section (25481) switch to Vdub and from the menu again select "Edit > Go To" then "Paste" that number in. Now click the yellow key forward once, this makes Vdub move away from the bad frame to the nearest key frame.

    Mark this as the end.

Press the delete key to remove the frames, you can save the AVI in a few minuets using direct stream copy. If the movie has lots of bad frames, you will need to do repeat the above until all the bad frames are gone.

Usually there is only a few, and deleting them has no noticeable effect.

If the movie has hundreds of bad frames, its best to go look for a better one
