lose the audio 20 min into movie

Hi all..I am starting to go crazy!

I am a total newbie and am very frustrated. I have followed just about every guide and there is still a problem..and yes, I have also tried going thru the forums for answers..

I downloaded Lilo and stitch. (divx). I encoded it thru tmpgenc. I tried extracting the wav and also just thru the wizard.

ok, It plays great on windvd. Sound is there thruout. Then I burned it with my dvd+rw drive and popped it into the dvd player. (I was SOOOO proud of my self when it came on and played. About 20 min in the audio just vanished.

I am at my wits end and at this point so confused about what I have or haven't done. Can anyone please help?

Also, When I ran the original movie thru GSpot it said the audi was MPEG 1-layer 3..after I encoded it is showing it is an Mp2..does this mean anything?
