    Can you buy a DVD writer that will just do DVD's and not CD's. I have a CD burner already. Why buy something I don't need!

    Fortunately, there is no such thing. You will therefore have an extra CD burner that you can sell or trade, etc.

    It could be worse. I had a CD burner and a DVD-ROM player. When I bought my HP 200i Writer, both these drives became useless to me.
