As you can see, the main movie is contained in VTS_02_X.VOB. Open VTS_02_0.IFO in IfoEdit.

Then select VOB Extras -> Split to 2 DVD-Rs."

i dont think it's the same for all movies is it???

  2. "he" meaning IFOEdit doesn't know where the main movie is. You have to select the .IFO file that corresponds to the main movie's vob set. In the case you gave above, you selected the .IFO file, and .IFOEdit detects those VOB files that corresponds, and it changes them with the settings you select. To answer your question, yes, the method will be the same for future movies.

  3. no not "he" meaning ifo edit.
i got that from a guide.
how did the guy who ripped the files know that it was the main????

  4. @ Sentricyphen, there are SEVERAL ways that the author of that particular guide knew it was the main movie. One, DVD DECRYPTOR almost always automatically selects the main movie, so that would be one way. But the obvious way to distinguish that the main movie is in vob set number 2 is by looking at the file size of that particular vob set. It is bigger then ANY other VOB SET that you have listed. There are "FOUR" main VOBS in set "two" and that is the most. Sometimes it is more difficult when certain extras can be close to or greater then the main movie, but that is very rare and when in doubt, just open up the biggest vob set and play it with POWER DVD and you will see if that is the main movie. It is very simple.
