I got a computer for Christmas with a 200gb hard drive and I was reading about how it is best to have 2 hard drives for capturing video(1 to save the video files on and 1 to run the programs off of) and I went out and got another 40gb the other day to keep my programs on. I think I can install the hard drive fine but my question is how would I move all my programs from my 200gb to my 40gb and get them to run off of the 40gb? Would it work if I just simply copy my files from the 200 gig to the 40 gig and delete everything off of the 200 gig, then turn the computer off and switched the 200 gig to the slave and the 40 gig to the master?

  4. What HD did you buy? It should have a setup diskette with it. Most of the time, it contains a utility that'll let you make an image copy of 1 drive to another...so long as you have enough space on the target drive.

If the diskette doesn't have this utility, I suggest you go to their website and see if there's a download available.

    hope this helps.
