    Hi All,

I am back to video edition and I am planing to update my Studio 7. I can upgrade to Studio 8 for 69, Studio 8 with Hollowood for 99 or Edition for 199.

    Which one do you recomend?

    Regards,

    Jose

  3. It depends upon what you want to do. If you plan to do only simple video editing with nice transition effects, then stick with Studio 8. If you want one of the best video editing packages for the money, you cannot go wrong with Edition. In fact, PC Magazine gave Edition higher marks than Premiere 6.5. Be forewarned, though, Edition has a steep learning curve.

  4. Edition sopuse to be good. Did you check what is difference ? Do you realy need Hollywood FX ? I use mostly standard Disolve transition. FX distrupt viewers attention to movie.

i use studio 7.0 and hollywood fx. to be honest fx is a bit much, they take loner to render and I agree take the focus off your movie. I usually use 1 fx to go from title screen to movie then use basic disolves or crossfade in the movie and maybe 1 more fx frome the movie to the closing title screens. If you think about it though, I never really seen any of the fx type transitions used in a movie, or maybe i.m just missing them. That's my 2 cents

  6. I just checked Edition info on their web. If you think that you need Hollywood FX (which is included, at least that is what thwy say). I would go with Edition. Multiple video and audio tracks, a lot of tweaking features, support of "dual-head" graphics cards.... Cool... for almost same price ?
