  1. Hi, all. I am asking on behalf of a friend (I'm on a mac, which presents a whole slew of pain-in-the-ass problems on this particular topic), who is on a PC.

What he'd love to do is backup the complete DVD to his harddrive, for viewing later-on (as on an airplane when traveling). He does not care about any type of burning. He does not care for conversion? He DOES care about having the extra features and language options available to him.

Is there a PC app that will just basically rip the entire DVD as an image file to the drive, then allow him to just open and view the video_ts file or whatever through his DVD viewing app like he would normally if the DVD was in the drive?

I've heard there are really good/easy programs out there for PC people, and just hoping someone can point me in the right direction.

    Many thanks,
    Wiles

  3. He could use DVDDecrypter to make the DVD ISO, Nero Image Drive to mount it, and whatever player he likes to play it.

    I've tried it. It works.

Thanks for pointing me in the direction of DVDDecryptor. That looks exactly like what I need. I appreciate your time.
