I downloaded a movie that is already in .mpg format. Can I use tmpgenc to cut the movie and then burn with nero, or do I have to change any of the settings, or extract the audio, or any thing. According to the info. in movie properties it is a typical NTSCfilm.

Not sure what you want to do here. Do you want to make a VCD or something similar? Then you should read some of the guides on this page!

The problem with downloading .mpg is they may contain bad frames and the like, and its not so easy to fix them. Assuming there are no problems with it, and it is a VCD compliant .mpg then yes just split it up and burn it just like any mpeg 1 made with TMPGEnc.Originally Posted by frink

Could I change the properties(bitrate, resolution, etc.) of the MPG in order to make an XVCD, and then use the new MPG for my burn?
