I have been trying to multiplex a m2v file and my soft encode generated ac3 file in tmpg. But when I try to import the ac3 I get " illegal mpeg audio stream". But what is weird is it loads just fine if it is a very small test file like 10 seconds long or so. But If I try a larger file such as a 40-50 min file I get the error. Whats the deal, can't it handle larger files?? I have tried several different ac3 files so I know that there isn't a problem with them. They all produced great dvds with Spruce. I also tried bbmpeg and that won't even load the test files. Please help. I want to use DVD Workshop but it only with take a muxed file.

I have no trouble doing what you want to do, so . . . . Are you using the mux-ing utility in TMPGEnc? That's what I've bee using. If so, the only thing I can think of is to change check box for Motorola/Intel byte order in encoding options from what you've had it at and see if that does anything. BTW, I have been encoding at 384 kpbs.
On the other hand, if you're trying to mux inside DVD WS, that program won't accept AC3 as an elementary stream, you must mux outside first and bring in mpg
