I'm trying to backup my minority report using this guide:
http://digital-forums.com/dvd2dvdr/intro.htm
I followed it to the letter, and have done so several times in the past with perfect results, but now I get an m2v which is 2h26m long and an ac3 which is 2h19m. Any ideas what's going wrong?

I did, and i got tom cruise walking down an alley, to the 20th century fox fanfare and a free coaster
what confuses me is that if i got the fox fanfare, it should mean the audio is longer, but it's not. How confused am I ????? -
sometimes it just works out like that.
compile it and check it.

I wish that were true, but unfortunately it isn't. The .M2V file and .AC3 files are usually off by a few seconds. Once in a while, maybe a minute or so max. With this disparity, it usually is ok, and there is some reason for it. However, when the difference is several minutes apart, such as the example here, there is ALWAYS some type of delay with the audio/video. If anyone can show me an example where there is a several minute difference between the .M2V and .AC3 files, and there is still no delay, I would like to check that out.
@kernow_warrior, I think the problem with Minority Report is because it is the "PAL" version of the movie, correct? I see you are from England, so I doubt it is NTSC. If it is NTSC, then the movie is a piece of cake to backup. I can explain if you need help. But i'm sure it is the "PAL" version, and if it is, then there is some type of seamless branching in the different VOB SETS, and there are posts on this site, as well as doom9 that will help you get through it and handle that movie. Just do a search for Minority Report on both sites, starting with this one.
