other standalone work with all movies even TOUCHSTONE

I think I know what you mean.. Can't get Signs to play on my Sony DVP-NS700P..I have an A05 and burn with Nero 5.9xxx .. What error message do you get?? I get "C:13 00 Disc is dirty" error..

I tried re-calibrating laser, which helped some owners of Sony DVD players.. but not this one..

I did a relatively extensive search on the subject on the net--came up with 2 possible fixes: 1) re-calibrate laser and 2) swap out a particular fuse on the main board.. haven't tried the latter and don't plan to..

Can anyone shed some more light on the subject?? thx.
