hello, i am trying to convert an avi (star wars :a new hope) to DVD standard the original fps is 25 FPS w/ an aspect ratio of 640 x 272 (2.353 : 1)...
1) i converted the avi>mpeg2 in tmpg with the settings of res 720x480 and fps as 29.97.
2)demux into an Ao3 file and d2v.
3)converted the d2v to m2v
4)remuxed and compiled in maestro
now, 15 hours later i am left with a choppy piece of crap with the sound out of sync. my question is this---Is there a way to convert from divx to true dvd ntsc format without getting choppy frames? why would my sound be out of sync, should i make sure that all the fps converting occurs before i demultiplex? the reason i dont just burn the mpeg as an (s)vcd is that im trying to get this to play on ps2 which wont read (s)vcds.
your help is apprreciated
