not sure if many people are familiar w/ jacket pictures, but there's info on them above w/ a pdf to look at. but i'm not sure if there is a way to do them on a mac or not and was wondering if anyone here knows how, other than virtual pc and tmpeg. i wasn't sure if this is something mediapipe might be able to do??

not all player support them, but jacket picture are when you hit stop on your dvd player and you see some sort of graphic on your tv. most sony's support them, pioneers don't, malata supports them. there are pretty cool though.

any help would be greatly appreciated.

  2. i checked out that link... did you even READ the .pdf file for download?

    I doubt it.

Sorry if i am coming across as a jerk, because i have been out with the flu for the past few days, but in that PDF file, it ASSUMES that you are using a Mac, and not a PC...

So yeah... this is possible to do. Just READ the .pdf file on the page you linked to in your post.

    sheesh.

  4. It seems like all you need to do it get a still image in the right resolutions and then have it as a 1 frame MPEG-2 File. You should be able to achieve this with ffmpeg or something like that.

I'll experiment with it and post my results.

last night i tried it with mediapipe, but no luck, at least the way i tried it, might try a different way later maybe. i had a 1 frame qt movie, bring to MP qt decode, scale (if need be) to right size, then mpegenc, as user mpeg2. didn't work, what it does do when used, is instead of putting up the Jacket p, it puts up the last frame of video you stopped on, as a sort of jacket p, this was the same thing that happened a long time ago when i tried to do this with cleaner.

if you figure anything out please let me know.
