im trying to rip XXX as a backup but having so many problems.
as maestro is no longer available what the hell do you use instead?
in the ripping forum, posters just take the mickey

well if main movie is under 4.7 gigs and you don't care about subs and chapters i would just rip the movie using stream processing so you will get a m2v and ac3 files. now just use ifoedit to auther the files back to dvd files then burn them using nero.

XXX is listed at 4.5gb but i just cannot get it ripped.
what software would you use to rip and re-write the files? -
Get DVD decrypter, there's a link somewhere on this site, if not go to doom9.net and then you can rip an iso image and then burn the iso back to dvd format. easy-peasy lemon squeezy 8)

4.5 gb will not fit on a single layer dvd. You must rip and either remove something or reencode.

xxx is one of the easiest dvd's to rip n burn...
rip it, use ifoedit to strip a litlle like subs,get sectors
and burn it,comes out to about 4gig...
