    hi ive just bought a pioneer ao5 burner and just tried to playback a dvd but power dvd wont play it , it says something about the video output on my graphics card ! am i missing something here lol.

    hi , the error code it comes up with is "f4d41436 TheTV Out port of your display card is not working properly." and if you click detailed you get this "This copy protected disc can not be played when the TV out function is enabled." my graphics card doesnt have a video out !.
    my graphics card is a "dream.m64 tnt2 32m" i think

    The message may just be a ruse. A lot of commercial DVDs are formated with deliberate errors so as not to play on a computer (MGM is really bad at this). This means that I have to rip them, then manually remove the errors, then reburn the thing just so I can view it on my PC.

    I suggest that you try another DVD. The message you have been given is coming from the DVD, not the player.

  7. No that message is to do with the macrovision protection on the disc. You need some sort of macrovision disabler for your gfx card (probably tnt 64). This occurs becuase they do not want you to play your dvd on computer and then out put to VIDEO and record it!! the video card is picking this up and disabling your TV output. Not all DVD's have macrovison (little triangle with CPC on the box). Update your video card or rip it and de-macrovision the Vobs. smartripper. Do this only if you own the Dvd.

    oh no its not nvidia have added some code in there driver that affects some cards try ver 30.82 it seems to fix the problem
