I'm amazed you got to the menu. Did the manual say this would work
for BR and HD-DVD movies ? What is your monitor? Which drive?

I was thinking all hope was lost.

Hmm, interesting where they made the cut, NVidea 7600GT and minimum Pentium 4
    541 (3.2G). That is minimum.

Burden is on Cyberlink to prove it works. Ask for money back.

im not sure why your amazed ? Was this because you

seen my old specs ? i`ve updated them now in profile

Yes the manual said this would work , i quote

" When you insert your DVD movie disc, after playing the warning

messages, your DVD Movie Main Menu will appear in the video window.

You can locate the Menu Pad by clicking on the outer arrow button on your

PowerDVD Main Control Panel. The directional arrows allow you to select

the options on your main DVD movie menu, and then you can click on the

center button to enter your selected menu option. "

i cant see these directional arrows for the life of me

i use a TTX monitor , and a Sony 60 inch HDTV as my 2nd monitor

Via a dvi out from my video card

    i hope this helps

    Cheers

You are out there on the fringe. Tell us what Cyberlink says.

I think I'm good on CPU, RAM, 7600GT and HDCP monitor as well. If Cyberlink gets yours working, I'll buy one too.

try clicking on unlock player panel in the lower right and then the option to open menu/number pad should be in that lower right spot.

"Any" version of Power DVD won't work. It has to be version 7 with all of the latest patches.

There is also the issue of having an HDCP compliant video card and monitor/TV. If for example, your TV is compliant, but your monitor isn't, that could cause issues.

I also remember reading somewhere that PowerDVD has issues anyway. They announced Blu-Ray and HD-DVD playback support before any drives for the pc were even available.

And I thought I read somewhere else about all of this only "working" properly with Vista. But I can't find the review at the moment.

Speaking of PowerDVD7, does anyone know a way to open the player panel (for A-B repeat etc.) in the full screen mode. It can be done on all earlier versions by left clicking the screen. Cyberlink wrote back that it can't be done. Seems weird. Am I tweaking?
