Pinnacle Stuido 8 problems

I Purchased Pinnacle Studio 8 and installed fine. Have Sony DRU500A Burner. Burned my first CD fine. Here is where my problem may have occured. i loaded Sony MyDVD and Showbiz. did not care for it. removed it. cleaned reg.

have un installed Studio 8 via there instructions. Used there regdelete. this is what happens.

I can capture fine.

I can create Mpeg files.

I had no problems with first disc i made. now while rendering i get this message.

studio.exe has generated errors and will be closed by Windows You will need to restart the program.

An error log is being created

I don't find any errors.

Can someone Help. is there a better product to produce and burn DVD of my home video?

It is a shame that Studio 8 does not work. I have had similar experiences with it myself. It could be a very good program if they could fix it.

I have started using Ulead DVD MovieFactory 2.0. It works exceptionally well for its price. Not as full featured as Studio 8 but it at lease works; i.e., I can make DVDs with it.

Forgot to tell you that I still use S8 to edit and render (encode to MPEG2). I then import the mpeg 2 file into DMF2 for authoring.
