  1. i'm having some trouble burning in subtitles in my anime svcds. the subtitles only start around 1/3 the way through the movie, which leads me to believe that i didn't include all the cell ids?

my question is, how exactly do you know which cell ids to choose? i ran vstrip on my .lst, which doom9 says will tell me the vob ids, and when i did that, it gave me a bunch of crap and two FOUND ID things, which i assumed were my ids. but there must be something missing, 'cuz half of the subtitles aren't in the video.

oh, and if it matters, i've ripped only chapters 2 and 3(not the first one). could that be the problem? 'cuz it actualyl does sort of make sense, the subtitles not coming on until 1/3 the way through may be because in the first chatper, there are no subtitles (it's the opening them).

damn, i shouldn't have deleted the m2v, i could've checked if the subtitles that appear 1/3 of the way through are actualyl the ones that should be at the beginning.

    damn. anyone?

  2. alright, i did some more testing, and the subs were delayed, but i think they were delayed because before i add the subs in virtualdub, i ivtc in tmpgenc. so the timecodes for the subs are still for a 29.97fps movie, but the movie is now in 23.976fps so it makes sense that the subs would start later.

so i guess my question is now, can i ivtc in virtualdub after burning in the subs without having to create an intermediate file?
