For anyone with APEX 1100w and Pioneer DVR-A04/104

I have both of these and was wondering if anyone else has suggestions of burning software and media that work well with both. I've had hit and miss experiences with Nero and many different medias.

I have used Nero, KHypermedia, and Ritek with success on the 1100w and my Pioneer C302D.

what settings and what version of nero? i've had a couple problems burning just the video_ts and audio_ts folders on it.

I was using Nero and it was a hit or miss (I'm using cheapest media I can find).

I switched to Prassi Primo (using the same cheap media) and It has been working on the Apex more consistently.

Nero works - Prassi is just better ( with cheap media).

i have very minimal luck with prassi...i guess i just have to test before everytime. i get these random errors...nothing about buffer underrun of course, but what else could it be?

I have a pioneer A04 with Prassi Primo and its been working great. Its even taken some of my cheap media that burns only at 1X with Nero and burns at 2X. Initially, I blamed the cheap media for not working with my Apex, but since I switched with Prassi Primo its worked great.

I don't understand the random errors you talking about?

i forget what the errors are, but about 70% of the time i burn with primo dvd there is some error and it makes an expensive coaster for me. it might be my system, but again it seems like the only error that could occur cuz of my system is buffer underrun, which is protected...i don't get it.

I take back what I said about my discs working on an Apex 1100w. My friends that I had given disks to said they movies worked, but actually they didn't. The only DVD-R I have gotten to work was Bladerunner which I did an image of the disc and then burned with Nero. Everything else doesn't play. I have used Nero in every way possible with IfoEdit and DVDMaestro. Sorry for the misinformation.

I have 1110W and use nero without flaws. Make sure you are not using the latest version of Nero, I have had all sorts of problems. Use verson 5.5.9.17. I use the DVD-ROM(UDF/ISO) mode w/ UDF set to 1.02. Works great. I use Princo 2X from www.allmediaoutlet.com.
