I installed the Huffyuv codec in Windows XP, however it doesn't show up in the list of possible codecs in VirtualDub. The Huffyuv website does say it works on "Windows 95, 98, Me, NT, or 2000 ". So does this just not work on XP, or can you think of any other suggestions as to why it doesn't work for me?
Thanks,
DigitalMan

Capturing with Huffyuv
How to tell your video capture program to use Huffyuv will depend on the program. In general, you should look for a "Video Format" dialog, and set the format to YUY2 or UYVY. Then you should look for a "Compression" dialog and choose Huffyuv from the list. (Do it in this order, because Huffyuv might not show up in the latter dialog unless you've already set the format in the former.)
A cut and paste from Huffy site.

Also if capturing higher than 352x288 need to go in and change the setting for 720x576 or you will get a studder on your playback, check under your device manager for the settings. XP Pro here no probs.
