  2. I haven't had that problem, but when i use TMPGEnc I am able to get to 100% and then nothing. The program stays at 100% for a long time and i end up having to end the program. Has anyone else had this problem?

  3. I think what you are saying is that the screen is black until 50%. My guess is you are using 2-pass VBR. This is normal...no worries.

  4. hoopz, it will stay at a 100% because it is already done..It doesn't come out with a flas to say its done like other programs do..just chk the file in the directory that you save it on and it should be there..

    just my .02 cents

  6. hi guys, i think i can explain ur little situation
i've been encoding with tmpge for a couple of years now. ok heres my explanation. if u r using 2 pass vbr, TMPGE "examines" the whole movie first to see what scenes need more bit allocated and which scenes need less. when it gets to 50%, that means that TMPGE has examined the whole movie and it will start to encode the movie on the 2nd pass. the 2nd pass will start at 50% and will continue to encode until it reaches 100%. and u will notice that at 100% ur busy light from ur tower will be on, even though the encoding process has been completed. the reason why it still busy is because TMPGE still has to put the headers and is putting on the finishing touches on ur movie. it is very important that u do not turn off ur pc during this process or u may end up doing the whole thing all over again. This last step of TMPGE roughly takes about 7-10 depending on the movie length on my slow pc. if u need more help, just let me know

    happy encoding!!!!
