  1. I have an ATI Tv Wonder Ve card and a Sony Dru-500a burner. I Would like to be able to put all my old VHS tapes to DVD. However, the software that comes with both the products are simply terrible for what I want to do. Does anyone have recommendations for software I can use to make this process quick and easy or is that asking to much? I have no desire to edit these videos, just to put them onto dvds in their vhs qualtiy. Thanks.

  2. Ulead DVD Workshop. Create menus etc. Just drag your MPeGs over and start working.

However, one little trick when compiling choose settings not to make hi quality DVD's (these are MPEG1 not 2), choose the lower settings I think its the 6 hour (can't remember exact verbage). Give it a shot. Free software and easy to learn.

  3. More affordable programs include Dazzle DVD complete and Ulead DVD Movie Factory 2.0. Both have trial versions. I personally use DVD complete. But for both programs, you are better off using TMPGEnc for encoding to mpeg-2.
