  1. I am using the guide on doom9 and Im confused with ifoedit. It ask you to open up the ifo file but im not sure which one to open up. This is what it says,

    Step 2: Split the DVD

Here's the full directory listing we get after ripping:

    09.03.2002 13:19 26'624 VIDEO_TS.BUP
    09.03.2002 13:19 26'624 VIDEO_TS.IFO
    09.03.2002 13:19 28'420'096 VIDEO_TS.VOB

    09.03.2002 13:19 10'240 VTS_01_1.VOB
    09.03.2002 13:19 98'304 VTS_02_0.BUP
    09.03.2002 13:19 98'304 VTS_02_0.IFO
    09.03.2002 13:19 81'121'280 VTS_02_0.VOB
    09.03.2002 13:22 1'073'709'056 VTS_02_1.VOB

    09.03.2002 13:33 16'384 VTS_05_0.BUP
    09.03.2002 13:33 16'384 VTS_05_0.IFO

    09.03.2002 13:34 253'952 VTS_07_1.VOB

As you can see, the main movie is contained in VTS_02_X.VOB. Open VTS_02_0.IFO in IfoEdit.

Then select VOB Extras -> Split to 2 DVD-Rs.

Im just not sure if I use the ifo file right before my main movie files, which is about a gig a vob file.

    Thanks

Cool, someone out there actually used my guides

By the way, if you add my site to your favorites, please be sure it's just http://encoding.n3.net and not the whole heaven.earthlinght.net..... address. I sometimes need to change web hosts; the encoding.n3.net url is a shortcut that will always forward you to the correct host.
http://encoding.n3.net <-- for all your DVD and CD backup needs!
