If i burn a VCD then delete it from my HD, is it possible to RIP it back to the HD ? If so how would i do this ? Should i store all my movies in AVI format ? How do you guys do it ?

D/load VCDGear, this will allow you to 'rip' your VCD to your HD. In theory you can just copy the dat file and rename it to xx.mpg, but this doesn't really/always work.
As for storage format it depends on what you want. I want to play everything on my TV so it's x(S)VCD. If you only watch stuff on your PC then DivX is a good choice.
