    I have Signs (DIVx) and want to convert it to VCD, when I start encoding it using TMPGenc (several versions) the picture dissapears while the sound continues, any ideas?

    Thanks mate, got that installed, the picture is there up to about 30% the it goes black, is this still the codec?

    While converting Signs from xvid to mpg I had the same problem. Except the audio continued but the video froze. Sounds like a bad file?

    It turned out to be a few errors in the video stream, I cut them out using Virtual Dub and the cut the sound out using Cool Edit Pro, converted it to MP2 with besweet, remuxed them with TMPGenc and burned them as a VCD, turned out OK.
