  1. hi

im using tmpg and vdub to encode my vcd's ive been getting on very well with both these these programs but i had a fault with my computer and ever since i reinstalled different versions of tmpg and vdub i have been having endless problems.

1)sound is out by a few seconds in some films i do which is well annoying
2)xvids are causing problems with both vdub and tmpg for example i get error address at 00002343 and also when i start encoding it will just cancle out with out dong the film ive got the nimo codec pack and divx packs and i cant under stand why nimo codec pack includes a xvid codec but it doesnt help.

can any body help or give me links to what versions of tmpg and vdub to use and which codecs to use, if you could give me the links then that would be great

    cheers

First, for the out of sync audio. Look here http://www.vcdhelp.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=100617. It has always worked for me.

Second, for the xvids giving error. I had a similar prob in tmpgenc that I think was caused by corrupt or incomplete avi's. Also, when encoding xvid avi's with tmpgenc use these evironmental settings :http://www.vcdhelp.com/forum/userguides/119019.php. Look towards the bottom they should be in blue. I've never had a prob sense I started using them with xvids. I have nimo codec pack with no probs.
