    I want to keep the picture widscreen.

    Full screen (keep aspect ratio) seems to scrunch it a little hight wise. This is ok on my wide screen because the TV has a function to stretch it (the hight), But on the regular TV I don't have that option.

    Should I use just the Full screen mode?

    No, don't use Full Screen. You could also try Full screen (keep aspect ratio 2).
