    im using smart ripper, i notice that when it starts to rip the dvd speed is like 1.7 1.8 speed, my dvd rom is 16x is this a normal process?

    also can smart ripper rip entire dvd so i can burn it onto a dvd-r? i have not figured that out yet, i know just how to do the vob files that's it according the guide that i was given

  2. To speed this up, you may need to install an aspi layer which is on the tools section, be careful though, there is a normal aspi install and a forceaspi, i used force aspi version as the other buggered up my system.
    I get speeds of around 3-4 now as apposed to 1.9.
    With smartripper there are options to burn the files or the movie but I am unsure sorry, personally i just rip the vobs and then use TMPGenc and DVD2AVI.
