Hey guys, I have a question that hopefully has a very simple answer!!
Is there a very simple way or maybe even a program that I can use to capture a screenshot from a normal mpeg or media file?? I just want to be able to make some thumbnails of a mpeg.
Any help would be truly appreciated.
Thanks in advance guys![]()

You can use virtualdub.
Open your video file, then on the timeline use the mark in and mark out buttons to select a portion of the video file. This selection can be 1 frame or as many frames as you like. Then select file, save image sequence. Vdub will create a bmp file of each frame selected. -
Awesome job Craig!!! Thankyou very much for the info!!
I did try using Power DVD to capture a few still but it wouldn't work for some reason. But virtualdub should do the trick. Thanks again
