  1. Hey guys, I have a question that hopefully has a very simple answer!!
Is there a very simple way or maybe even a program that I can use to capture a screenshot from a normal mpeg or media file?? I just want to be able to make some thumbnails of a mpeg.
Any help would be truly appreciated.
    Thanks in advance guys

  2. You can use virtualdub.

Open your video file, then on the timeline use the mark in and mark out buttons to select a portion of the video file. This selection can be 1 frame or as many frames as you like. Then select file, save image sequence. Vdub will create a bmp file of each frame selected.

  3. Awesome job Craig!!! Thankyou very much for the info!!
I did try using Power DVD to capture a few still but it wouldn't work for some reason. But virtualdub should do the trick. Thanks again
