  1. I installed ffmpegX 0.0.6 with the new installer feature for mpeg2enc, mencoder and mplayer, but now, when I launch MediaPipe 0.8.9 I get an error.

It tries to recompile mencoder (Build Succeeded) but then gives a lazy programer error for QuickTime Audio decoder.

    Here's the text:

    Mkdir /Users/stephen/Library/MPipes/MP2Encoder.mpipe/Contents/Resources/mjpegutils_source/build/mp2enc.build/mp2enc.build/DerivedSources
    /bin/mkdir -p /Users/stephen/Library/MPipes/MP2Encoder.mpipe/Contents/Resources/mjpegutils_source/build/mp2enc.build/mp2enc.build/DerivedSources
    ** BUILD SUCCEEDED **

    MP2 Encoder: Done.
    QuickTime Audio Decoder: [-2009]
    QuickTime Audio Decoder: [-2009]

I did try reinstalling MediaPipe--same result. Any ideas?

Did you install the apple developer tools first? They are required to compile correctly.

  3. Yes.

All was working well with MediaPipe and ffmpegX 0.0.5. It wasn't until I used the new installer with 0.0.6 that I started getting the lazy programmer error -2009 (Quicktime Audio Encoder) in MediaPipe.

I'm thinking it must have something to do with re-installing mpeg2enc.

    I'm still expirimenting.

  4. All the 0.0.6 installer is actually doing is copying the three needed binaries into /usr/bin so ffmpegX can locate them.

  5. QuickTime error (-2009) is invalidTrack.
Make sure you source file is a wav or aiff.

  6. You're right. I had a bad file. Gee, I hate being dumb. Had nothing to do with ffmpegX 0.0.6.

    Thanks for your help.
