Im trying to rip the sound to wav with virtyaldub as i usually do but every time i try to save the wav an erroe message appears saying "The requested audio compression is not compatible with the input format. Check the sampling rate and channel count of the input match those of the requested format" . I have no idea what this means could somone please tell me what to do. Thanks

  2. AUDIO -> CONVERSION -> 44100 Hz -> K -> SAVE AS AVI

  3. this tends to happen if your d/l movie has a dolby digital track. virtual dub can't decompress. you can tell by checking file info. under audio it will show unknown tag 2000

    you can always decompress by stripping the audio (direct stream copy) and change from wav to ac3 (change to all files) and then run in besweet.exe to produce your wav file.

    alternatively use TMPG to rip out wave. Load movie into TMPG, go to file - output to file - WAVE file. Had to do this recently myself with one film when virtualdub gave me exactly that message
    you know it's the anti-Midas touch when all you touch goes to shit..............

    I can't seem to locate Universal AC-3/MPEG Audio (Layer 1/2/3) Decoder on the site.

    The description says

    Moonlight Odio Dekoda DirectShow® filter, binary (71,855 bytes, ZIP)

    Still some people cannot get Vdub to convert AC3, it might be something to do with all those dam codec packs

    Maybe vdub AC3, or Vdub Mod will help those who cannot get it to work
