  2. First have downloaded the filter? (not included in VirtDub) Just search for "virtualdub logoaway filter" under http://www.yahoo.com. Unzip/install in to the folder \virtualdub\plugins\

Now, load the file. select video > filters > add > select logoaway. Click SHOW PREVIEW on the bottom right of that window that just popped up. Drag that preview window so that you can see the whole thing. Then use the seek bar under the video window to fast forward to a scene that has a long string of words on the bottom (look for the longest string of words so that you can cover them all).

Now click SOLID FILL instead of xyblur. and you should see a small black box in the upper right corner (if its a dark scene/frame it may be tough to see but find it anyway or forward to a brighter scene.)

Just keep changing the LOGO BORDER POSITION X/Y until the box moves down to the upper left corner of where the line of text starts. (example if the subtitle said the words: THIS MOVIE SUCKS, then get that box so that it definitely covers the upper left corner of the 'T' in 'this')

Now just change the size of the box, LOGO BORDER SIZE XY, to make the height slightly larger if necessary and the length way longer so that it covers the entire sentence.

Finally, once the sentence is covered completely by the box, (but don't make the box any bigger than it has to be just covering the words)
Click back on XY BLUR from solid fill, and maybe slightly change the BLUR WEIGHT scale to something you think is appropriate but not all the way the left or right.

CLICK OK, and OK again, and you should be back at the original VIrtDub screen. Now click the play button on the bottom of the screen with the 'O' on it for output, and watch the right screen and compare it to the left screen, and notice how the words are blured out.

AN example of my movie logoaway box is LOGO BORDER POSITION X:55 Y:216

    LOGO BORDER SIZE
    Width:240 Height:21
